About Payton DeLuga, M.S., CCC-SLP

Payton is an experienced and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist who loves the diversity of ages and diagnoses she gets to work with in the field. She finds immense joy in helping children communicate for the first time, articulate speech sounds, explore new foods, and develop a deeper understanding of language in their everyday activities. She also appreciates the collaborative nature of pediatric therapy, working closely with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers.

Payton earned her Master’s degree from Western Illinois University and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she also played collegiate soccer. Her experience as a student-athlete shaped her into a supportive, team-oriented SLP who brings energy and enthusiasm to her sessions.

Outside of work, Payton enjoys home decorating, weekend getaways to the lake house, and staying active through exercise. Fun fact: She was named after a former Chicago Bears player!

Payton’s areas of expertise include:

  • Articulation disorders, phonological disorders, & childhood apraxia of speech
  • Expressive & receptive language delays
  • Late talkers
  • AAC (communication devices/boards)
  • Play skills
